How to add a blogroll to your wikidot site so it looks pretty.

This is an easy way I found to add a blogroll to my wikidot site, I can't guarentee it's the best way, but it worked for me.

Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Look at this Code

Honestly I don't know what this code means, I just took it from another wikidot tutorial and slightly modified it, but you really don't need to know what this means.

[[div style="display : none;"]]
[[code type="html"]]
<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=iso-8859-1" />
<title>Rss Feed</title>
<!-- 4 This is the HTML section of the badge -->
<div id="badge">
<!-- Badge ends -->

Paste it into the page you want your blogroll, it's not gonna work right now, don't worry about it.

2. Create a Folder For the Blogroll You Want to Show on your Site

(If your RSS Feeds are already organized than skip to the next step)

Go to your google reader account

Click the down arrow next to one of your RSS Feeds and Click the New Folder Icon. Name it whatever (ex. My is "Netbooks") then drag and drop all the relevant RSS Feeds into it.

3. Getting the Blogroll Code from Google

Click the Settings Button in the top right corner

Go to the "Folders and Tags" Tab

First Click the Grayed Out RSS feed next to the folder you want to use. It should change to public.
Then click "add a blogroll to your site"

A new window should pop out

Choose your title and color scheme (an example will show up on the right)

Then Copy the code it gives you and paste over the code you previously posted on your blogroll page, the part that says GET THIS CODE FROM GOOGLE READER

4. Finishing It Up

Now Paste This Code at the Bottom of Your Page

[[iframe **YOUR PAGES HTML**/code frameborder="1" scrolling="yes" width="200px" height="400px"]]

Take the html from your webpage and paste it over YOUR PAGES HTML part.

For example:

If my html was: I would paste if over that part so my code would look like this:

[[iframe frameborder="1" scrolling="yes" width="200px" height="400px"]]

Now preview your page, adjust the width and height settings until your happy.

I would've added an example but for simple fact that I don't know html at all I can't get it to work (I assume it's because of all the other code blocks in this page, but trust me it works)
